Michael Ignatieff’s “The Needs of Strangers”
Number of pages:
5
ABSTRACT:
This 5 page report discusses The Needs of Strangers (originally published in 1985) and how Ignatieff offers his readers a new way of looking at the people who have been thought of as some of the “great thinkers” of the world. The book’s four essays demonstrate the ways in which those individuals made every effort to live by the ideas they presented. In the process, Ignatieff also offers a vision into what it means to be human and to consider the ways in which one’s own life serves as a reflection of a personal philosophy regarding the “art” of being human. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
